I'm missing colours like no one can ever imagine....
Its always good to look forward.....
I am feeling so much better now after digging out some colours from my old garden archives.
..........even though right this very moment, it is snowing like c-r-a-z-y outside

Thanks for beautiful photos! Is that the inherited rose? I love it. And wonderful collection of pansies! I searched back bank if there are violas grown from last year's seed but none. Spring without pansy/viola is kind of boring. I will buy next season.
About my BB. I bought her before last year, fell in love with a photo(it was very attractive brownish red) She didn't repeat much last year but colour was nice and healthy. Now I'm trying to recall her fragrance.... No, I can't. It must be because she is next of Jude. =)
Yes, that's one of the unidentified rose I inherited. I will resize another one and post up later. Its a big old shrub. I've been meaning to ask Simon the expert to do the ID but I always forgotten. Now that I've quit PBR, I don't think I'll ever get any identification done.
That pink can be anything between an alba, centifolia or gallica. I'm throwing dice on Celesté, Chloris, Indica Major, Celsiana, Kazanlik and godknowswhatelse. Last spring I planted Celesté and Kazanlik so I can compare but they are very slow to establish.
There are a few more old shrubs in the vineyard which I think could also be gallica.
That's the down side about once bloomer. 11 out of 12 months, nothing interesting happening. I always missed their blooming time. Imagine one year wait until I see them in flowers again.
I also got BB a year ago after Maribel rave so much about it. I stil think Jude is one of DA's best fragrance rose but as you knew it, my summer is always very rainy.

In between all those hectic schedules, I chill out in the garden which I created by myself. I enjoy the hard work digging and planting as most of the time I could see some results immediately but in general, gardening taught me about growth, hope, patience and perseverance...and I like that.
This blog is for my friends to catch up with whatever I'm up to lately....
